Hello, I’m Jason Kao and I was an English and History teacher in Vernon Hills, IL for 18 years. My credentials include a Bachelor’s degree in English and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In 2016, I was named as one of the top teachers in the Chicago suburbs by the Daily Herald newspaper.

Since moving to Taiwan in 2020, I have been tutoring students in English, History, SAT, and writing. Most of them attend Taipei American School, Fuhsing Private School, Wego Private School, and Morrison Academy Kaohsiung. With my help, my students have received 5’s on their AP History exams and improved their SAT verbal scores by over 100 points (590 to 710). I also help adult students improve their academic writing and conversational English.
